About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and strategic Head of Manufacturing Planning to lead and optimize manufacturing operations at our Bawal facility. The role requires strong expertise in heavy fabrication, production planning, resource management, and process excellence.
Key Responsibilities
Manufacturing Planning & Execution
- Lead end-to-end manufacturing planning to meet production targets and customer demand.
- Oversee production scheduling, capacity planning, material planning, and workflow optimization.
- Ensure efficient utilization of manpower, machinery, and materials, especially across heavy fabrication units.
Heavy Fabrication Operations
- Manage planning and coordination for heavy fabrication processes and equipment.
- Ensure compliance with quality, safety, and welding/fabrication standards.
- Collaborate with production, quality, and engineering teams to address fabrication challenges and improve throughput.
Operational Excellence
- Monitor daily production performance across fabrication and assembly lines.
- Drive QCD (Quality, Cost, Delivery) improvements and minimize production bottlenecks.
- Ensure preventive and predictive maintenance for fabrication machinery to reduce downtime.
Team Leadership
- Lead and mentor the manufacturing planning and fabrication teams.
- Build strong coordination with cross-functional teams—Production, Quality, Maintenance, SCM, and Engineering.
- Foster a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Quality & Compliance
- Ensure adherence to all quality standards including fabrication tolerances and weld quality.
- Maintain strict compliance with EHS guidelines and plant safety standards.
Continuous Improvement & Cost Optimization
- Implement lean manufacturing and process improvement initiatives.
- Drive cost-reduction projects in materials, manpower, equipment usage, and fabrication efficiency.
- Identify and execute innovation opportunities to enhance plant productivity.
Reporting & Documentation
- Generate regular reports on production, efficiency, resource utilization, and improvement metrics.
- Maintain accurate documentation of manufacturing plans, SOPs, and process changes.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical/Production/Industrial Engineering.
- 12–18 years of experience in manufacturing planning, with strong exposure to heavy fabrication operations.
- Deep understanding of fabrication processes, welding, machining, assembly, and plant planning systems.
- Proven ability to lead large teams within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
