We are a research-based manufacturing company – we seek to fill technology gaps in India by developing and manufacturing complex products and solutions demanded in India today. Our business strategy has always been to identify technology gaps in India that the company could fill by 'indigenous efforts'.
The first products we selected and successfully developed were Aircraft batteries - eventually leading to HBL manufacturing one of the world’s widest ranges of specialized batteries and becoming the leading supplier of batteries to the Indian Airforce.
For over 40 years, we have been at the forefront of developing innovative products and cost-effective solutions that meet critical requirements of several industries that are of strategic importance.
HBL has built an extensive footprint globally - meeting the client needs of several critical sectors including Aviation, Railways, Defense, Oil & Gas, Power, Telecom & Data Centers.
One of our proudest achievements has been to design, develop, manufacture and deploy railway safety systems to enhance the security and capacity of Indian Railways.
The next horizon for HBL is the transport revolution and shift to eMobility. With our expertise in high efficiency motors and battery systems combined, HBL will provide India with new choices of domestically manufactured drivetrain solutions.
