Role Overview:
We are looking for a seasoned NPD leader to drive end-to-end New Product Development, from concept to commercialization. The role requires strong technical, commercial, and strategic expertise to lead innovation, optimize product costs, and ensure global compliance while collaborating with cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Product Development & Strategy
- Lead end-to-end New Product Development (NPD) lifecycle including concept, design, validation, and launch
- Evaluate and approve NPD proposals with strong technical and commercial justification
- Drive innovation, benchmarking, and product lifecycle management
2. Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with Sales, Marketing, Plant, and R&D teams for product development and application insights
- Provide inputs on product performance, usability, and customer requirements
- Ensure alignment between business objectives and product strategy
3. Strategic Sourcing & Supplier Management
- Lead strategic sourcing initiatives including global sourcing opportunities
- Develop and manage supplier relationships for cost, quality, and delivery optimization
- Drive supplier evaluation, negotiations, and long-term partnerships
4. Commercial & Financial Acumen
- Drive product costing, budgeting, and financial feasibility analysis
- Ensure cost competitiveness while maintaining quality and performance standards
- Support pricing strategies in coordination with business teams
5. Project & Team Management
- Lead multiple projects simultaneously with strong project planning and execution skills
- Manage and mentor a team of 46 members
- Influence cross-functional stakeholders in a complex, global environment
6. Compliance & Process Excellence
- Ensure adherence to global product compliance standards
- Implement best practices in product development processes and manufacturing
- Drive continuous improvement and operational efficiency
Key Skills & Competencies:
- Strong expertise in New Product Development, Product Costing & Lifecycle Management
- Proven experience in Strategic Sourcing, Procurement & Supplier Management
- Excellent project management and stakeholder management skills
- Strong presentation, communication, and negotiation abilities
- Deep understanding of manufacturing processes and technical product requirements
- Experience working in global and complex business environments

- Exposure to global sourcing and international supplier ecosystem
