Job Description
Job Summary:
The General Manager Projects (Civil Structural Finishing) is responsible for leading and delivering the structural finishing scope of high-rise residential buildings constructed using Mivan technology. This role focuses on supervising the execution of structural finishing activities, ensuring quality standards, timely completion, technical compliance, and cross-departmental coordination for fast-track delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
Execution Leadership Structural Finishing
- Lead and manage the overall structural finishing works across multiple high-rise projects
- Oversee RCC surface finishing, blockwork alignment (if applicable), waterproofing, staircase finishing, dry wall partitions, Mivan surface treatments, and internal plaster works (if applicable)
- Implement Mivan-related finishing best practices including putty, grooving, and precision joint finishing
Planning & Coordination
- Develop finishing schedules in line with Mivan cycle timelines
- Coordinate with MEP, planning, QA/QC, and procurement teams to ensure readiness and material availability
- Track progress and address delays, reworks, and deviations
Quality Assurance
- Ensure finishing standards meet design, specifications, and client expectations
- Enforce surface tolerances, alignment, level, and joint quality in Mivan structures
- Oversee mock-up approvals and monitor rectification protocols for non-conformities
Team & Contractor Management
- Lead and mentor engineers, supervisors, and finishing foremen
- Evaluate and manage subcontractor performance for finishing works
- Provide technical support and training to ensure adherence to work methods
Resource & Material Management
- Review and plan requirement of manpower, tools, and finishing materials
- Coordinate with procurement for quality-approved materials specific to structural finishing
- Minimize wastage and ensure effective use of site resources
Reporting & Reviews
- Prepare daily/weekly/monthly MIS reports on progress, productivity, and quality
- Report project health to management with focus on structural finishing milestones
- Ensure documentation of work records, snag lists, and completion certificates
Safety & Compliance
- Ensure execution complies with safety norms and statutory requirements
- Conduct toolbox talks and ensure safe practices during height work, chemical applications, and finishing activities
- Ensure compliance with internal and external audits
Qualifications:
- B.E. / B.Tech in Civil Engineering
- Strong exposure to high-rise projects with Mivan construction
Key Skills:
- Expertise in Mivan structural finishing and concrete surface treatments
- Strong project planning, execution, and team management skills
- Eye for detail and commitment to high-quality finishing
- Familiarity with tools like MS Project, AutoCAD, Excel, and QA/QC documentation
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities
