Job Description

Role & responsibilities

Position 1

SCM- Indirect Purchasing

  • Timely PR to PO conversion and manage procurement of Indirect items.
  • Identify, evaluate, and develop suppliers to ensure quality, cost-effectiveness and timely delivery.
  • Obtaining and comparing quotations, negotiate pricing, payment terms, and delivery schedules to achieve cost savings.
  • Ensure on time containment, corrective actions, and non-conformance resolution.
  • Coordinate with internal departments (Production, Maintenance, Engineering, HR, Administration, Finance, Engineering and Stores) to understand procurement requirements.
  • Monitor order status and ensure on-time delivery while resolving supply-related issues.
  • Ensure procurement complies with company policies, quality standards, and statutory requirements.
  • Maintain procurement records, supplier documentation, supplier database, contracts, and compliance with company procurement policies.
  • Participate in internal audits and contribute to corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
  • Ensure compliance with IATF 16949 / ISO standards in all purchasing activities.
  • Analyse and identify opportunities for cost reduction.
  • Adherence to strict company policies, procedures and work ethics.
  • Visit supplier facilities (across India) for ensuring timely supplies and resolve supply issues.

Position 2

SCM DEVELOPMENT PURCHASE

  • Manage end-to-end sourcing and procurement of direct materials (components and raw materials) required for production and new product development (NPD) as per requirements.
  • Identify, evaluate, and develop suitable direct material suppliers by techno commercial evaluations, supplier capability assessments to ensure quality, cost-effectiveness, and timely delivery.
  • Obtaining and comparing quotations, negotiate pricing, tooling costs, payment terms, and long-term supply agreements to achieve cost optimization.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Design, Production, Planning, Quality, SMO, Stores and Finance.
  • Maintain procurement records, supplier documentation, supplier database, contracts, and compliance with company procurement policies.
  • Participate in internal audits and contribute to corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
  • Ensure compliance with IATF 16949 / ISO standards in all purchasing activities.
  • Analyse and identify opportunities for cost reduction and process improvement.
  • Adherence to strict company policies, procedures and work ethics.
  • Visit supplier facilities (across India) for ensuring timely development of parts, resolve supply issues, and ensure timely delivery.
  • Support localisation and alternate source development to reduce supply chain risks.


Preferred candidate profile

  • Education: D.M.E / B.E / in Mechanical, Automobile, or relevant field.
  • Experience: 3 - 5 years of experience in Indirect purchasing (Automotive or Manufacturing).

  • Experience: 3 - 5 years of experience in Direct material procurement, supplier development/
  • strategic sourcing (Automotive or Manufacturing).
