Job Description
Who we are:
We are a start-up based out of Bengaluru & Delhi NCR. We are engaged in development of next generation missions and technologies (NGM&T) towards future warfare needs of the Indian defence forces. It is undertaking research towards enhancing persistence and autonomy for unmanned vehicles and robotic swarms. NRT s product development portfolio includes a solar power stratospheric high altitude pseudo satellite (HAPS) unmanned platform and an air/ground launched stand-off autonomous system.
Roles and Responsibilities :
Start to finish ownership of all phases of avionics software development lifecycle
Development of high quality, scalable embedded code for applications such as sensors & servo integration, data acquisition, perception & analysis, flight control, swarming, data post processing etc.
Collaborative work with systems, hardware and flight ops/controls team
Requirement capture, high level and low level design, code implementation, unit testing and integration.
Generate test plans, test cases and ensure unit testing for robustness, reliability and repeatability
Task-breakdown and Mentorship of junior engineers.
Establish scope and framework for standardization of integration processes and common tools identification. Prepare associated documentation for company records and design reviews.
Must have skills:
Proficiency in C/C++ for event driven/object oriented software design and development
Experienced in low-level drivers, bootloader and board support packages development.
Experience with memory constrained RTOS and concurrent programming for non-trivial
systems (requiring multithreading and IPC)
Experience embedded communication protocols like SPI, I2C, CAN, RS485, TCP/IP, UDP etc.
OS level application development experience in Python, Linux
Exposure to MATLAB/Simulink simulation tool, auto-code generation, SIL/HIL Setups.
Experience with version control tools like GIT, SVN, etc
Good hands on experience with equipment such as digital multimeters, debuggers, development boards, oscilloscopes, etc.
Good to have skills:
Experienced in common robotic systems frameworks like ROS, Gazebo etc
Exposure to standards such DO-178 B/C, MISRA-C
Exposure to open-source autopilot stacks like PX4, Ardupilot etc.
Basic Requirement (education & relevant experience):
Bachelors/Masters (Computer Science/Electronics Engineering)
2-5 years of Embedded Software development experience
