Role Overview

We are seeking a Network Planning Design Engineer to support the design, planning, and optimization of transport networks.

The role involves capacity planning, network expansion, route engineering, and ensuring a scalable and resilient backbone infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and design NLD and metro transport networks.
• Perform capacity planning, traffic analysis, and network optimization.
• Support DWDM, OTN, SDH, MPLS, network expansion projects.
• Prepare HLDs, LLDs, network diagrams, and engineering documentation.
• Analyze network utilization and recommend augmentations.
• Coordinate with Operations, Deployment, Vendors, and Project teams.
• Conduct route diversity and resiliency planning.
• Support feasibility studies and business case preparation.

Required Skills

• Basic knowledge of DWDM, OTN, SDH, IP/MPLS, and fiber networks.
• Understanding of telecom transport network planning and protection schemes.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
• Good communication and stakeholder management skills.

Qualifications

• B.E./B.Tech in Electronics, Telecommunications, Computer Science.
• Exposure to Ciena, Nokia, Cisco, technologies will be an added advantage.
