Job Description
Desired Profile :
- Experience in Solar Power Plant installation
- Must have experience in site identification, evaluation of site feasibility based on the availability of power evacuation provisions via nearby substation etc.
- Should have knowledge of Electrical components (PV Modules, Inverters and other accessories)
- Willing to be stationed at site from Site identification to execution of the Project.
- Experience in O&M of Solar Power Plants.
Job Description:
Project Execution of Solar Power Plant.
- Evaluate suitable site locations for solar PV installation based on site visits, power evacuation and risk assessments.
- Responsible for operational level understanding of the requirement of the client/customer, Site Visits, Site feasibility & Solar Systems Design and complete execution.
- Preparing work schedule in collaboration with the Project Manager.
- Facilitate Statutory compliances (Gram panchayat approvals, inputs for discom approvals, Factory license, Shops & establishment license, Electrical Inspectorate inspections, forest lease rents etc)
- Work with internal Operations team throughout project development and implementation
- Work with site team to handle project issues as they arise
- Participating in project review meetings, preparation of minutes and chasing the delegated tasks.
- Evaluate project progress on various aspects.
- Work with authorities and professional engineers to support project-related approvals.
- Communicate with vendors and subcontractors throughout project development and implementation.
- Liaising between statutory authorities, clients, contractors, subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers.
- Conduct quality checks to ensure installation works follow project plans and commercial requirements.
- Conduct site audits to prepare configurations and structures for system designs
- Conduct worksites safety checks.
- Contribute to the development of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure safety and quality assurance on sites.
- Oversee contractors works on installation and scaffolding operations.
- Oversee installation of all Equipment.
- Review Test reports of all equipment.
- Seek management approval for project risk assessments.
- Documenting processes and keeping detailed construction logs.
- Ensuring that the construction project is completed on time and within budget.
- Presenting construction project progress updates to clients and senior managers.
O&M Support & Transition
- Prepare the final technical handover documentation, including O&M manuals, training material, and warranty records, for the operational team.
- Verify the accuracy and function of the SCADA and monitoring systems to ensure real-time operational data is available and correct.
- Provide hands-on training and technical guidance to the client's or internal O&M staff on system operation and emergency procedures.
- Act as the primary technical point of contact during the DLP, coordinating defect rectification with EPC contractors under warranty.
- Assist the O&M team in the initial operational phase by supporting root cause analysis and troubleshooting of early-life performance issues.
