Embedded Software Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• Software engineering of Real-time embedded software development, system architecture, requirements analysis, design, coding, review and validation testing of automotive microcontroller modules.
• Collaborate with the customers, program managers and engineering teams (Electronic, Mechanical, Manufacturing) to define and implement product requirements and validate performance.
• Actively engage with Validation Engineer to create software testing requirements and SW for manufacturing, EMC and Environmental testing.
• Lead the improvement of software tools and processes to achieve customer satisfaction and high software reliability.
• Documentation required to support Aspice and Functional safety

Qualifications & Technical Skills

• Minimum bachelors degree in electrical, electronic engineering, Computer Science
• Minimum 5 years of experience developing real-time embedded software for real-time electronic modules for safety critical applications.
• Demonstrated skills in C, C++ and assembly language and experience with scripting languages
• CAN and LIN experience using Canalyser, CANoe, network analysis tools
• Strong Data analysis skills to debug issues from field using CAN logs
• Working knowledge of UDS (ISO 14229)
• Working knowledge on Low level drivers like SPI, ADC, I2C, CAN & LIN
• Working knowledge of using MISRA tools
• Working knowledge of CAPL scripting
• Good understanding of Bootloader
• ISO26262 compliance experience desired.
• Knowledge of Aspice
• Knowledge of MATLAB is preferred
• Working knowledge of engineering drawings, dimensioning, tolerancing, GD&T
• Excellent communications skills
• Use e-business tools (MS OneNote, MS Access Database, MS Word, MS Excel, MS Project, MS Outlook etc.)
