Digi Yatra Foundation
Overview
Digi Yatra Foundation is a Not-for-Profit (Section 8) company established in India to create and manage the Digi Yatra Central Identity Management Platform. Digi Yatra aims to provide a seamless, hassle-free, and paperless air travel experience using facial recognition technology. It focuses on passenger identification at various checkpoints in the airport, including entry, security, and boarding, based on biometric authentication.
About Us
Digi Yatra Foundation was created to implement and oversee the Digi Yatra initiative. The Foundation is responsible for setting standards, managing data privacy and security, and ensuring interoperability between different airport operators and airlines participating in the Digi Yatra program. It works closely with the Ministry of Civil Aviation (MoCA) and other stakeholders to promote the adoption of Digi Yatra across Indian airports.
