Role Summary
Turiance AI is looking for an experienced DevOps and IT Infrastructure Lead who can personally execute hands-on
DevOps work while directing the organizations wider DevOps and IT infrastructure functions. The role prioritizes hands-
on ownership of CI/CD, automation, and cloud engineering the incumbent is expected to build, script, and troubleshoot
directly rather than delegate this work. IT infrastructure, networking, and cloud operations are managed primarily through
oversight of the technical team, with hands-on involvement for complex or critical issues. The incumbent will set
direction, prioritize competing demands, and drive operational excellence across the technology function, while
supporting the organizations information security and data protection certification programs (including ISO 27001, SOC
2 Type II, HITRUST, HIPAA, and DPDPA) and building a high-performing technical organization capable of supporting
the companys growth.
Key Responsibilities
DevOps & Cloud (Hands-On)
Personally design, build, and maintain CI/CD pipelines, taking direct hands-on ownership of pipeline architecture
and deployment automation.
Hands-on configuration and management of Microsoft Azure cloud infrastructure, ensuring reliability, security, and
cost efficiency.
Hands-on automation using PowerShell scripting and Infrastructure-as-Code practices (Terraform or ARM
templates), building and maintaining automation assets directly.
Directly manage version control and source code practices using Git and TFS, including hands-on repository
administration.
Hands-on implementation and configuration of containerization technologies (e.g., Docker) as part of the
deployment pipeline.
IT Infrastructure & Network Oversight
Oversee IT infrastructure strategy and day-to-day operations, including desktops, laptops, network devices, and
enterprise systems, directing the technical teams execution.
Direct the configuration and governance of firewalls and network security controls, engaging hands-on for complex
or critical issues.
Oversee continuous monitoring, patch management, and automated device tracking using RMM platforms like
NinjaOne, stepping in directly as needed.
Oversee policy tuning and continuous traffic/rule monitoring of network firewalls, with hands-on involvement for
critical incidents.
Oversee evaluation and alerting setup of SIEM reports to strengthen SOC/incident response capabilities, engaging
hands-on for high-priority investigations.
Oversee the design, testing, and automation of infrastructure recovery plans and backup validation routines.
Oversee network design, performance, and troubleshooting across routers, switches, DNS, DHCP, and VPN
environments.
Set standards for system administration, including user account management, permissions, and Active Directory /
Azure AD governance.
Maintain and continuously improve documentation of IT procedures, system configurations, and asset inventory.
Team & Stakeholder Leadership
Lead, coach, and develop a multi-disciplinary technical team, setting priorities and reviewing performance and
output.
Establish clear ownership, workflows, and escalation paths across infrastructure, network, security, and DevOps
activities.
Serve as the primary point of escalation for complex technical, operational, and project-related issues.
Partner with cross-functional and business teams to align technology delivery with organizational and project
priorities.
Security, Compliance & Vendor Management
Implement and enforce IT security best practices, protocols, and compliance requirements; support internal and
external audits.
Support the organizations information security and data protection certification programs (e.g., ISO 27001, SOC 2
Type II, HITRUST) and regulatory compliance obligations (e.g., HIPAA, DPDPA), coordinating evidence, controls,
and remediation activities as required.
Own vendor relationships for hardware leasing, procurement, support, and warranty, negotiating optimal pricing,
SLAs, and terms.
Assist with software license management and ensure timely renewal and lifecycle management of leased and owned
equipment.
Stay current with emerging technologies and drive continuous improvement of IT and DevOps processes.
Required Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field; relevant certifications (e.g.,
Microsoft Azure, ITIL, PMP) preferred.
4-8 years of progressive experience with a strong hands-on DevOps foundation (CI/CD, automation, cloud
engineering), complemented by broader oversight of IT infrastructure and networking.
Hands-on experience designing, building, and maintaining CI/CD pipelines end-to-end.
Strong, hands-on proficiency in PowerShell scripting and automation, with direct working experience in Git and
TFS version control.
Hands-on experience with containerization (Docker) and Infrastructure-as-Code tools (Terraform or ARM
templates).
Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure services, including direct configuration and administration.
Solid oversight-level command of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN) and firewall / network security
management, sufficient to direct and validate a technical teams execution, with the ability to step in hands-on when
required.
Working familiarity with RMM platforms (e.g., NinjaOne, Datto, or N-able) and SIEM tooling (e.g., Microsoft
Sentinel, Splunk, or Sumo Logic), sufficient to oversee and, when required, execute directly.
Working knowledge of operational firewall management (e.g., Fortinet, Palo Alto, or Sophos), sufficient to oversee
rule creation, log monitoring, and intrusion prevention tuning.
Working knowledge of information security and data protection frameworks such as ISO 27001, SOC 2 Type II,
HITRUST, HIPAA, and DPDPA, with the ability to support certification and compliance activities.
Demonstrated experience managing vendor relationships, contracts, and technology budgets.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to translate technical issues for non-technical
stakeholders.
Strong leadership, planning, and prioritization skills, with the ability to manage multiple concurrent workstreams
and competing priorities.
