Job Description
Responsibilities
- B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering
- 35 years of experience
- Good understanding of GDT and tolerance analysis
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes such as sheet metal forming and welding
- Strong proficiency in CAD tools (NX / Catia / Creo)
- Develop detailed 3D models and assemblies for exhaust systems including pipes, brackets, heat shields and catalyst housings
- Prepare production drawings with GDT and tolerance specifications
- Perform tolerance stack-up analysis to ensure assembly fit and function
- Participate in DFMEA discussions and support risk identification
- Support packaging feasibility studies within vehicle constraints
- Manage engineering changes and design updates through PLM workflows
- Coordinate with CAE and system engineering teams for design validation
- Support prototype builds and incorporates feedback into design updates
- Participate in technical design reviews and engineering discussions
- Ensure compliance with company CAD standards and modeling practices
- Develop CAD models for fabricated exhaust components considering manufacturing constraints
- Support supplier drawing alignment during design development
- Maintain BOM structure and support PLM release activities
- Incorporate packaging and validation feedback into CAD updates
