Job Description
Role & responsibilities
- Assist the Nursing Superintendent in overall nursing administration.
- Supervise nursing services across OPD, IPD, ICU, OT, Emergency, Cath Lab, NICU, PICU, Dialysis, and other specialty areas.
- Ensure implementation of NABH standards, nursing policies, and SOPs.
- Monitor nursing documentation and patient care quality.
- Prepare and manage duty rosters and manpower deployment.
- Conduct nursing audits and quality improvement activities.
- Ensure medication safety and patient safety practices.
- Monitor infection prevention and control compliance.
- Coordinate with Medical Superintendent, HR, Quality, Infection Control, and departmental HODs.
- Conduct nursing orientation, competency assessments, and in-service training.
- Handle patient complaints related to nursing services.
- Ensure statutory compliance and nursing council regulations.
- Maintain nursing records, reports, and departmental KPIs.
- Participate in disaster management drills and emergency preparedness.
Preferred candidate profile
- M.Sc. Nursing / B.Sc. Nursing
- Valid State Nursing Council Registration
- Certification/Exposure to NABH Standards will be preferred.
