Job Description: Data Validation & Reconciliation Specialist

Role Overview

We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Data Validation & Reconciliation Analyst with strong hands-on experience in Alteryx, SQL, and Advanced Microsoft Excel. The role focuses on extracting, validating, reconciling, and analysing large-scale transactional and planning datasets, while collaborating closely with technical and functional stakeholders, including overseas clients.
Experience & hand on knowledge in Anaplan & SAP HANA will be an added advantage, but not mandatory.
Shift Timings : 2 PM to 11 PM IST

Key Responsibilities

• Extract and analyse master and transactional data from SAP HANA backend systems using SQL queries.
• Retrieve and validate planning and forecast data from Anaplan models and modules.
• Perform data validation, reconciliation, and comparison between SAP HANA database and Anaplan datasets to ensure data accuracy and integrity.
• Conduct drill-down analysis in Anaplan to understand calculation logic, model behaviour, and data flow.
• Analyse Anaplan formulas and data models to trace and resolve data discrepancies.
• Use Microsoft Excel extensively for data analysis, including advanced formulas, Pivot Tables, lookups (VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP), and comparison techniques.
• Design, build, and maintain automated data validation workflows in Alteryx to process high-volume transactional datasets efficiently.
• Clean, transform, and compare large datasets using Alteryx tools and best practices for workflow optimization.
• Identify, investigate, and resolve data mismatches, inconsistencies, and integrity issues across systems.
• Document validation results, findings, and root-cause analyses clearly and accurately.
• Collaborate with technical, functional, and business teams to resolve data issues and support decision-making.
• Communicate effectively with overseas stakeholders and clients, ensuring clarity and alignment.

Required Skills & Experience

• Strong experience in data validation and reconciliation across enterprise systems.
• Hands-on expertise in Alteryx, including workflow development for large-scale data processing and automation.
• Strong SQL skills.
• Solid understanding of Anaplan models, modules, and formulas, including hands-on analysis and troubleshooting.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including complex formulas, Pivot Tables, data comparisons, and analytical techniques.
• Experience handling large transactional and high-volume datasets.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred / Good-to-Have Skills

• Experience working with financial or operational planning systems.
• Knowledge of data automation and workflow optimization in Alteryx.
• Basic to intermediate Python experience, including:

• Running and modifying existing scripts
• Enhancing scripts based on business or client requirements
• Supporting basic development and maintenance activities

• Prior experience working with overseas or global clients.
