Role Overview

We are looking for a highly skilled Data Analyst / Senior Data Analyst with strong techno-functional expertise to analyze, interpret, and transform complex data into actionable insights. The candidate will play a key role in supporting business decisions, particularly within the Life & Pension insurance domain.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze large and complex datasets to derive meaningful business insights and trends.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Develop and optimize data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes.
• Write, optimize, and maintain complex PL/SQL queries, procedures, and functions.
• Perform data validation, reconciliation, and quality checks to ensure accuracy and consistency.
• Work on data migration, integration, and reporting solutions.
• Provide support for production issues and troubleshoot data-related problems.
• Develop and maintain documentation for processes, data models, and workflows.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams including IT, business, and operations.
• Mentor junior team members (for Senior Data Analyst role).

Required Skills & Competencies

Technical Skills

• Strong hands-on experience in PL/SQL (mandatory).
• Good working knowledge of Unix/Linux commands and scripting.
• Experience with at least one industry-standard ETL tool such as:
• Informatica
• Talend
• DataStage
• SSIS (SQL Server Integration Services)
• Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and data modeling.
• Experience in handling large datasets and improving performance of SQL queries.

Functional Skills

• Exposure to Life & Pension insurance domain (highly desirable).
• Understanding of insurance data structures, policy lifecycle, claims, underwriting, etc. is a plus.
• Ability to bridge business requirements with technical implementation (techno-functional capability).

Analytical Skills

• Strong analytical aptitude with problem-solving mindset.
• Ability to interpret complex datasets and translate findings into business insights.
• Experience in data reporting, dashboards, and analysis.

Soft Skills

• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Detail-oriented with a focus on quality and accuracy.
• Proactive in identifying improvement opportunities.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Statistics, or related field.
• Experience working in insurance or financial services domain.
• Exposure to reporting tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) is an added advantage.
