Job Description

Cybersecurity Officer Endpoint & Incident Response

Location: Pune (Magarpatta)
Type: Full-Time

Role Overview

The Cybersecurity Officer is responsible for protecting our digital assets — with a strong focus on endpoint (laptop/desktop) security — and for detecting, responding to, and resolving security incidents across the organization. This role is critical to safeguarding company data, ensuring employee devices remain compliant and secure, and building a culture of cyber-hygiene across teams.

What You'll Own

  • Monitor, detect, and respond to security incidents (malware, phishing, unauthorized access, data leaks, ransomware, etc.)
  • Manage endpoint security — laptop/desktop antivirus, EDR/XDR tools, patch management, disk encryption, and device compliance
  • Own incident response lifecycle: identification, containment, eradication, recovery, and post-incident reporting (RCA)
  • Configure and manage device management (MDM), access controls, and security policies for all company laptops/endpoints
  • Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and coordinate timely patching/remediation
  • Manage firewall, VPN, email security, and endpoint protection platforms
  • Enforce and update security policies — password, USB/device usage, remote access, data handling
  • Conduct security awareness training for employees (phishing simulations, safe practices)
  • Maintain incident logs, audit trails, and compliance documentation (ISO 27001, SOC2, or similar, if applicable)
  • Liaise with IT/infra teams on network security and with vendors for security tools/licenses
  • Support any regulatory/compliance audits related to information security

Must-Have Skills

  • Hands-on experience with endpoint security tools (EDR/XDR, antivirus, MDM — e.g., Microsoft Defender, CrowdStrike, SentinelOne, Intune)
  • Strong understanding of incident detection & response, malware analysis basics, and threat handling
  • Knowledge of network security fundamentals — firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS
  • Familiarity with security frameworks/standards (ISO 27001, NIST, CIS benchmarks)
  • Experience with patch management, vulnerability scanning tools (Nessus, Qualys, etc.)
  • Understanding of Windows/Linux/macOS security configurations
  • Strong documentation and incident reporting skills
  • Good communication — able to train non-technical staff on security practices

Nice-to-Have

  • Certifications: CEH, Security+, CISSP, CISM, or similar
  • Experience with SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar, Microsoft Sentinel)
  • Exposure to cloud security (AWS/Azure/GCP security basics)
  • Scripting skills (Python/PowerShell) for automation of security tasks
  • Experience in a manufacturing/telecom/IoT company (relevant to Arya Omnitalk's domain)

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Cybersecurity, or related field. 2–5 years of relevant experience in IT/cybersecurity roles, with specific exposure to endpoint security and incident response.
