Network Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Network Engineer with strong expertise in Juniper switching and Fortinet security technologies . The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, configuring, monitoring, troubleshooting, and maintaining enterprise network and security infrastructure.

The role requires hands-on experience with Juniper switches, FortiGate firewalls, FortiManager, and FortiAnalyzer , along with a solid understanding of enterprise networking, routing, switching, security, and network monitoring.

Key Responsibilities:

Design, configure, and maintain FortiGate firewalls & Juniper switching infrastructure in enterprise environments.
Configure security policies, NAT, VIPs, IPsec VPNs, SSL VPNs, routing, and firewall objects.
Configure and troubleshoot HA clusters and firewall failover.
Implement security profiles including IPS, application control, web filtering, antivirus, and DNS filtering.
Troubleshoot firewall traffic, routing, VPN, policy, and security-related issues.
Perform FortiGate firmware upgrades, configuration backups, and security hardening.
Analyze traffic logs and security events to identify and resolve network/security issues.
Configure and troubleshoot VLANs, trunking, LACP, STP/RSTP/MSTP, LLDP, and Layer 2/Layer 3 switching.
Configure routing protocols such as OSPF and BGP as required.
Implement and troubleshoot inter-VLAN routing and gateway redundancy.
Perform switch upgrades, configuration backups, hardware replacements, and lifecycle activities.
Troubleshoot network connectivity, performance, latency, packet loss, and routing issues.
Maintain network diagrams, configuration documentation, and operational procedures.

Preferred Certifications:
Fortinet Certified Associate/Professional in Cybersecurity or Fortinet certification relevant to FortiGate administration
JNCIA/JNCIS-ENT or JNCIS-SEC
CCNA/CCNP or equivalent networking certification
ITIL certification is a plus
