Cosmos Impex Private Limited ( CIPL) was founded in 1987 out of Vadodara, Gujarat by Mr Nagesh Velaga and Mr. Nimish Shah - both Mechanical engineers from the great Maharaja Sayaji Rao University of Vadodara entered into the budding industry of machine tools. CIPL offered performance cutting tool solutions to industries and helped them improve their manufacturing processes , way ahead of their time they knew that the industry needed more. Then in 1994 , Cosmos partnered with CNC Machine Tool manufacturers from Taiwan and brought in a full range of Vertical Machining centers and Horizontal Turning center along with machine tool accessories. In 1997 , Cosmos setup a precision component manufacturing unit to cater to the export of high quality parts. Later in 2005 we established a Joint venture company with Goldensun, Taiwan for manufacturing of Hydraulic Turrets for CNC turning center, this was a 100% export oriented unit. Then came the summer of 2010 when Cosmos ventured into manufacturing of CNC machine tools, we established CNC Grinding Machine manufacturing unit followed by Vertical Machining center manufacturing unit in 2012.
