Job Description
Position: Contract Electrician
Department: Maintenance
Qualification: Diploma in Electrical Engineering with 1 2 years experience or ITI (Electrical) with 2 3 years experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out preventive, predictive, planned and breakdown electrical maintenance.
- Maintain substations, transformers, lighting, power points, cranes, pumps, compressors, power packs and utilities.
- Maintain induction motors, welding machines, grinders, drill machines, fans and overhead lighting.
- Perform industrial wiring, cable laying, termination and glanding.
- Read electrical drawings and troubleshoot electrical circuits.
- Use multimeters, clamp meters, meggers and earth testers.
- Follow LOTO and Permit-to-Work procedures and all safety rules.
- Maintain maintenance logs and breakdown reports.
- Maintain UPS systems, battery banks and DG backup systems.
- Work in rotating shifts and perform work at heights when required.
- perform maintenance activities at heights using ladders, scaffolding, or elevated work platforms.
