About the Opportunity

Our consultants lead complex cases, mentor junior teams, and drive quality outcomes in high-volume, multi-specialty environments.
Role Responsibilities
- Diagnose and manage comprehensive ophthalmic conditions including cataract, glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy, and corneal disorders with precision and patient-centric care.
- Perform high-volume surgical procedures including phacoemulsification, MIGS, and vitreoretinal surgeries with consistent outcomes and low complication rates.
- Lead clinical audits, protocol development, and peer review cycles to elevate standards of care and surgical safety across partner facilities.
- Train and supervise resident ophthalmologists, fellows, and allied health staff on surgical techniques, pre/post-op protocols, and patient counseling.
- Collaborate with optometrists and primary care providers to implement screening programs, referral pathways, and community outreach initiatives.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of clinical workflows, documentation systems, and patient satisfaction metrics aligned with NABH standards.
Skills Qualifications
- Must-Have
- DNB/FRCS/DNB Ophthalmology
- Post-qualification experience: 5+ years in clinical ophthalmology with surgical volume of 500+ cases/year
- Proficient in phacoemulsification, IOL calculations, and glaucoma surgeries (trabeculectomy, MIGS)
- Experience managing diabetic retinopathy, corneal pathologies, and pediatric ophthalmology cases
- OCT
- Strong clinical documentation skills using EMR/EHR systems
- Fluent in English and Hindi; regional language proficiency preferred
- Valid registration with State Medical Council and NMC
- Preferred
- Experience in tele-ophthalmology or rural outreach programs
- Publication record or active participation in ophthalmology conferences
- Experience with NABH accreditation processes or QI initiatives
