CII-Indian Green Building Council (IGBC)
The Indian Green Building Council (IGBC) is a premier body in India for the green building movement. It was established by the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) in 2001. IGBC aims to enable a 'Sustainable Built Environment for All' and facilitate India to be a global leader in sustainable built environment. It develops green building rating systems, offers certification services for various building types, provides professional accreditation, and conducts training programs. IGBC works collaboratively with government, industry, and educational institutions to promote and adopt green building practices across the country.
