International Aero Engines

International Aero Engines (IAE) is a multinational aerospace engine manufacturer and joint venture primarily known for developing and producing the V2500 turbofan engine. This engine powers various models of the Airbus A320 family of aircraft, making IAE a key player in the commercial aviation engine market. The consortium was formed to combine the expertise and resources of leading global aerospace companies to develop a competitive engine for the 150-seat aircraft market.

As a joint venture, IAE does not maintain a large, independent employee base in the traditional sense. Its operations and many functions are carried out by personnel from its parent companies. The core administrative, engineering, and program management team directly employed by IAE is relatively small, likely in the low hundreds, managing the collaborative efforts and product lifecycle.
