Terre des Hommes Core Trust, commonly referred to as Terre des Hommes India, is an Indian child rights organization. It is a registered non-governmental organization (NGO) and a proud member of the Terre des Hommes International Federation. The organization works primarily in Tamil Nadu and Pondicherry, focusing on defending children's rights, protecting them from exploitation, and improving their living conditions through a holistic approach that empowers children, families, and communities.
About Us
- Established in 1980 by Father Dr. - Henri de La Ville and Mr. - Daniel Barth from Terre des Hommes Suisse, the organization initially operated as the 'Terre des Hommes Centre, Chennai.' In 2004, it transitioned into an independent Indian registered trust, 'Terre des Hommes Core Trust,' while maintaining its vital association with the Terre des Hommes International Federation. - With over four decades of experience, Terre des Hommes Core Trust implements various programs designed to ensure the well-being and rights of disadvantaged children, focusing on protection, education, health, and sustainable livelihoods.
