North Eastern Regional Institute of Science and Technology (NERIST)

The North Eastern Regional Institute of Science and Technology (NERIST) is an autonomous, multi-disciplinary institute established by the Government of India. It is a deemed-to-be-university under the Ministry of Education, Government of India. NERIST offers modular-based education, including certificate, diploma, and degree courses in technology, applied sciences, and forestry, with the aim of catering to the technical manpower needs of the North Eastern Region of India.
