Role Overview
The Community Instructor Mobilizer (CIM) position offers motivated and energetic individuals the opportunity to be an integral part of Pratham s education programs in the following locations
- Umling Block, Ri-Bhoi District, Meghalaya
- Roing Block, Lower Dibang Valley District, Arunachal Pradesh
- Miao Block, Changlang District, Arunachal Pradesh
The Community Instructor Mobilizer (CIM) will be responsible for program implementation across five communities within the assigned cluster. This will include, inter alia, leading activities with children at the school and community levels, mobilising and training local volunteers to support the program, strengthening community ownership of children s learning, and engaging with key stakeholders at the village level. The CIM will report directly to the Team Leader.
Key Responsibilities - Implementation The CIM will be responsible for program implementation at the ground level for five communities in a Hamara Gaon block. This will include conducting Learning Camps with children at the school level, community-based activities and events, dissemination of SMS/WhatsApp messages for remote outreach, and setting up and facilitating regular meetings of mothers groups.
- Mobilisation of volunteers The CIM will identify local community volunteers and train them to conduct learning activities with children in the community.
- Interaction with key stakeholders at village level The Community Instructor Mobilizer will be responsible for interacting and liaising with SMC members, Anganwadi workers, school authorities, teachers, CRCCs, village head, etc., at the village level, and for demonstrating Pratham s activities to the above-mentioned stakeholders.
- Data entry The CIM will be responsible for entering all program-related data at the school and community level.
- Feedback and home visits The Community Instructor Mobilizer (CIM) will be responsible for regularly gathering feedback from parents, caregivers, volunteers, and other community members on the program, and for conducting visits to children s homes to understand on-ground challenges and identify ways to better support children s learning.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in coordinating effectively with multiple stakeholders.
- Bachelor s degree in Khasi, Education, Hindi, or a related field.
- Language proficiency For the Meghalaya location, candidates must have Full Professional Proficiency in Khasi (oral and written) and Basic Working Proficiency in English or Hindi (oral and written). For the Arunachal Pradesh locations, candidates must have Full Professional Proficiency in Hindi (oral and written) and Basic Working Proficiency in English (oral and written).

- Ability to manage time well and keep track of deadlines effectively.
