Job Description
Graduation, life science background preferably Biotechnology, Bio-Chemistry, Microbiology, Physiotherapist, BE biomedical, Pharmacy and Nursing, Bio informatics, General biology, Genetics and Molecular biology
Minimum of 1 year complete experience in ED professional coding with knowledge of appropriate CPT (EM level & Procedure) selections, modifiers, ICD-10 guidelines, conventions etc
Should be able to Provide physician documentation feedbackSoftware/Platform preference-Working experience in Citrix, Optum EncoderPro Strong knowledge in Anatomy and Physiology Accurately code Emergency Department services through review of medical record documentationAssign CPT procedure codes, ICD-10 diagnosis code and modifiers based on documentation, government teaching physician documentation requirements and LCD/NCD/ NCCI policies
Should have Emergency Department professional coding working experience and be aware of common ED procedures like laceration repair, fracture care, splinting, I&D, CPR, foreign body removal, Critical care inclusive and exclusive procedures & etc
Understand the client requirements and specifications of the projectShould have coding experience in consultation
Ensure that deliverable to the client is adhered to the quality standards and productivity TAT
