• Bridge Design:Design and analyze bridge structures using engineering software and principles
• Develop detailed engineering plans, specifications, and construction documents
• Structural Analysis:Conduct structural analysis and evaluations of existing bridges
• Assess the load-carrying capacity and performance of bridge components
• Code Compliance:Ensure designs and assessments comply with relevant engineering codes, standards, and regulations
• Stay updated on changes in industry codes and implement them in design processes
• Project Management:Manage and coordinate bridge engineering projects from conception to completion
• Collaborate with project teams, including architects, drafters, and other engineers
• Inspections and Assessments:Conduct field inspections to assess the condition of existing bridges
• Identify and evaluate structural deficiencies and recommend corrective actions
• Technical Documentation:Prepare comprehensive technical reports, design calculations, and construction drawings
• Maintain accurate and organized project documentation
• Client Interaction:Communicate with clients to understand project requirements and expectations
• Present findings, recommendations, and project updates to clients
• Quality Assurance:Implement quality control procedures to ensure the accuracy and reliability of engineering designs
• Review and check the work of junior engineers and drafters
