Job Description

Job Title: BMC TrueSight Network Automation (TSNA) Consultant / Administrator
Role Summary
Responsible for administration, configuration, automation, compliance management, and operational support of BMC TrueSight Network Automation (TSNA) environments. The role involves managing network device configurations, enforcing compliance policies, automating network changes, supporting audits, and ensuring high availability of the TSNA platform.
Key Responsibilities
TSNA Administration Support
  1. Install, configure, upgrade, and maintain BMC TrueSight Network Automation (TSNA) environments.
  2. Perform platform health checks, troubleshooting, and performance tuning.
  3. Manage TSNA application services, database connectivity, and integrations.
  4. Handle platform migrations, OS upgrades, and patch management activities.
  5. Monitor system logs and resolve incidents within agreed SLAs.
Network Configuration Management
  1. Onboard and manage network devices (Routers, Switches, Firewalls, Load Balancers).
  2. Perform configuration backups and restoration activities.
  3. Manage device credentials, realms, and access controls.
  4. Support network configuration lifecycle management.
Compliance Audit Management
  1. Create and maintain compliance policies and rules.
  2. Perform compliance assessments and remediation tracking.
  3. Generate compliance reports for PCI DSS, SOX, and internal security audits.
  4. Investigate and resolve compliance violations.
Automation Change Management
  1. Develop and maintain TSNA automation scripts and operational jobs.
  2. Execute bulk configuration changes across network devices.
  3. Automate repetitive network operational tasks.
  4. Support change implementation and rollback planning.
Integration Reporting
  1. Integrate TSNA with:
    • BMC Helix Operations Management (BHOM)
    • Remedy/ITSM
    • ServiceNow
    • Splunk
    • Other monitoring and ticketing tools
  2. Create dashboards, reports, and operational metrics for stakeholders.
Incident Problem Management
  1. Support production incidents and critical outages.
  2. Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) for recurring issues.
  3. Collaborate with network, security, infrastructure, and vendor teams.

  1. 3 10 years of Network Automation or TSNA experience.
  2. Experience supporting large-scale enterprise environments.
  3. Hands-on experience with PCI DSS compliance activities.
  4. Knowledge of BMC Helix Operations Management (BHOM), Remedy, and ServiceNow integrations.
  5. Experience working in 24x7 production support environments.
