Role Description
As a BIM Coordinator, you will oversee multidisciplinary coordination, manage model integration, and resolve clashes while addressing high-level technical challenges. This role demands strong technical expertise, leadership skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams to ensure the success of BIM-related projects.
Key Responsibilities and Focus Areas
1. Model Integration and Coordination
- Coordinate the integration of models across multiple disciplines to ensure consistency and compliance.
- Act as the primary point of contact for all model-related coordination tasks.
2. Clash Detection and Resolution
- Utilize tools like Navisworks, BIM 360, or Revizto for clash detection and resolution.
- Implement strategies to address and resolve clashes effectively.
3. Technical Problem-Solving
- Identify and address high-level technical challenges related to BIM workflows.
- Provide innovative solutions to improve the efficiency and accuracy of BIM processes.
4. Leadership and Mentorship
- Lead BIM coordination meetings and provide clear guidance to team members.
- Mentor junior team members to enhance their technical and professional skills.
5. Project-Specific Coordination
- ACollaborate with project stakeholders to ensure BIM processes align with project requirements and objectives.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of project-specific BIM standards and practices.
Qualifications and Skills Expected
Educational Background
- Bachelors degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
Technical Proficiency
- Expertise in BIM coordination tools such as Navisworks, BIM 360, or Revizto.
- Strong understanding of BIM workflows and integration techniques.
Personal Attributes
- Effective communication skills for interdisciplinary collaboration.
- Leadership capabilities to guide and mentor team members.
- Advanced problem-solving skills to address technical challenges.
Preferred Knowledge
- Prior academic experience with BIM software is an advantage.
- Certification in BIM tools will be beneficial.
