Job Overview
We are looking for an experienced Government Tender Executive who can identify and track government tender opportunities related to electrical and infrastructure projects and support the sales team in converting these opportunities into business.
The candidate will be responsible for regularly monitoring CPWD, PWD, UPRNN, MES, Railways, NBCC, GeM and other Central/State Government and PSU tender portals.
Key Responsibilities
- Daily search and monitoring of relevant government tenders.
- Identify tenders related to electrical conduits, electrical products, construction and infrastructure projects.
- Study tender documents, BOQ, technical specifications, eligibility criteria and submission requirements.
- Extract and maintain Approved Make Lists / Preferred Make Lists / Brand Lists from tenders.
- Identify where NIC products can be proposed or included as an approved make.
- Collect details of EPC contractors, electrical contractors, consultants, architects and project agencies associated with relevant projects.
- Track tender dates, corrigendums, pre-bid meetings, submission deadlines and tender results.
- Prepare daily/weekly Tender Opportunity Reports for management and sales team.
- Maintain an organised database of tenders, projects, contractors, consultants and government departments.
- Coordinate with the sales and technical team for tender-related documents, product specifications and approvals.
- Support the team in identifying new government projects and potential customers.
- Monitor competitors, approved brands and market requirements in government projects.
- Follow up internally to ensure relevant tender opportunities are acted upon before deadlines.
Required Skills
- Experience in Government Tender / E-Tendering / Tender Research.
- Good knowledge of CPWD, PWD, UPRNN, MES, Railways, NBCC, GeM or similar government portals.
- Good understanding of BOQ, tender documents and technical specifications.
- Ability to research and extract information from large tender documents.
- Excellent MS Excel, Internet and data-management skills.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
- Knowledge of electrical/construction products will be an advantage.
Preferred Candidate
Candidates with previous experience in Electrical Products, Electrical Manufacturing, EPC, Construction, Infrastructure, Building Materials or Government Tendering will be preferred.
