Automation Test Engineer

Role: P&C Insurance / Guidewire Automation Tester

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and execute automated test scripts for P&C Insurance applications.
• Validate policy administration, claims, billing, underwriting, and rating functionalities.
• Develop automation frameworks using Selenium, Java, TestNG, Maven, or similar tools.
• Create and maintain API test automation using REST Assured/Postman.
• Work closely with Business Analysts, Developers, and Product Owners to understand requirements.
• Perform regression, integration, functional, and end-to-end testing.
• Analyze test results, identify defects, and track them through resolution.
• Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and provide testing estimates.

Required Skills

• Strong experience in P&C Insurance domain (Policy, Claims, Billing, Underwriting).
• Hands-on experience with Selenium WebDriver, Java, TestNG/JUnit.
• Experience in API Automation Testing.
• Good understanding of SQL and database testing.
• Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Azure DevOps, or GitLab.
• Knowledge of Agile methodologies and defect management tools (JIRA, ALM).

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Guidewire (PolicyCenter, ClaimCenter, BillingCenter) or Duck Creek.
• Exposure to BDD frameworks like Cucumber.
• Insurance certifications are an added advantage
