Automation Test Engineer

• We are looking for a skilled QA Automation Engineer to design, develop, and maintain robust automated testing frameworks across UI, API, performance, and security layers.
• The ideal candidate will play a key role in ensuring high-quality, scalable, and secure software releases through end-to-end test automation.
• This role offers an opportunity to work on scalable, real-world systems, with ownership of test automation and overall quality processes.
• You will collaborate closely with engineering, DevOps, and product teams in a collaborative engineering culture.
• The candidate should have hands-on experience in defining test strategies, building regression automation suites, performing UI and API automation, executing performance tests, and conducting API interception/intrusion testing for security validation.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automation frameworks for:
• UI testing (Selenium, Playwright)
• API test automation (Postman, REST tools)
• Regression test automation
• Implement parameterized and data-driven testing approaches.
• Define and own the overall test strategy, including test planning, coverage, and execution.
• Good to have: Integrate automated test suites with CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins or other build pipelines.
• Perform API automation testing and validation, including request/response verification, schema validation, and negative testing using scripting - Java, Python, Javascript.
• Conduct performance and load testing using JMeter or similar tools.
• Perform API intercept/intrude to identify security vulnerabilities (auth issues, rate limiting, data exposure, payload manipulation etc.).
• Execute end-to-end automated regression suites for each release.
• Analyze test results, identify root causes, and collaborate with developers to resolve defects.
• Ensure test automation best practices, maintainability, and scalability.
• Participate in release readiness, quality metrics, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Strong experience with automation tools:
• Selenium and/or Playwright for UI automation using scripting
• Postman or similar API testing tools
• Experience with performance testing tools such as JMeter.
• Solid understanding of API automation frameworks (RESTful services, JSON, with all HTTP methods).
• Expertise in regression testing and test suite maintenance.
• Experience with parameterized/data-driven testing techniques.
• Knowledge of security testing concepts, including API interception, intrusion testing, and vulnerability detection.
• Good understanding of test strategy, test planning, and quality assurance processes.
• Familiarity with version control systems (Git)

Good to Have

• Experience with containerized or any cloud-based environments.
• Experience in CICD pipeline - Jenkins/ Bitbucket or any other tools
• Knowledge of OWASP Top 10 and basic security testing tools like ZAP.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
