Architect (Java, Kotlin, TypeScript)

Role & responsibilities

Must-Have** (Ideally should not be more than 3-5)

• Strong expertise in Java, Kotlin, and TypeScript across backend and frontend layers
• Architect and design scalable, resilient microservices-based systems
• Deep understanding of system architecture, distributed systems, and design patterns
• Experience in full stack architecture (React/Angular + backend services)
• Design and govern API strategy, contracts, and integrations
• Strong experience with high-scale systems, performance optimization, and scalability
• Define and enforce engineering standards, coding practices, and architectural guidelines
• Provide technical leadership and drive architectural decisions across teams

Good-to-Have

• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP) and cloud-native architecture
• Exposure to event-driven architecture, messaging systems (Kafka, etc.)
• Knowledge of DevOps, CI/CD, and infrastructure-as-code
• Experience in handling high-volume data/media systems
• Strong mentoring and leadership experience across engineering teams
• Ability to drive innovation and adopt emerging technologies.

Responsibility of / Expectations from the Role 

• Define and drive overall system architecture for scalable and high-performance applications
• Design microservices-based architecture using Java/Kotlin for backend systems
• Guide full stack development strategy including frontend frameworks (React/Angular)
• Define API architecture, data flow, and integration strategies across systems
• Ensure system scalability, reliability, security, and performance optimization
• Identify and resolve architectural bottlenecks and technical risks
• Collaborate with product, engineering, and leadership teams to align architecture with business goals
• Translate complex business requirements into scalable technical solutions
• Drive best practices in coding, design patterns, and architecture governance
• Review system designs and code to ensure compliance with architecture standards
• Mentor engineers and provide technical leadership across multiple teams
• Drive continuous improvement in tools, frameworks, and development processes
