Job Description

We are seeking an Application Support Engineer with 1.5 to 2 years of relevant experience to join our technical support team in Hyderabad. This position bridges initial triaging and hands-on application troubleshooting. You will handle production support, monitor system health, manage incidents and changes via ServiceNow, and ensure continuous application availability while maintaining strict SLA standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Application & Production Support: Provide end-to-end support for production applicationsperforming initial triaging, basic-to-intermediate log analysis, and issue resolution before escalating complex bugs.
  • Incident & Ticket Management: Monitor incoming queues in ServiceNow, log and track issues, perform root-cause triage, and drive incidents to resolution within defined SLA parameters.
  • Change Management: Support application releases, deployments, and scheduled maintenance activities in line with ITIL change management guidelines.
  • System Monitoring & Maintenance: Perform routine system health checks and log monitoring across Windows Server, Linux, and WebLogic application environments to proactively identify potential issues.
  • Stakeholder Coordination: Act as a bridge between end-users, internal business teams, and engineering/L3 groups to ensure clear communication during production incidents.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Experience

  • 1.5 to 2 years of hands-on experience in Application Support or Production Support.

Mandatory Skills

  • Strong practical experience in Incident Management and Change Management processes.
  • Hands-on experience using ServiceNow for ticketing, tracking, and SLA management.
  • Proven ability to troubleshoot application issues under pressure while meeting target SLAs.
  • Familiarity with basic log analysis and routine environment checks.

Secondary / Preferred Skills

  • Windows Server Administration: Familiarity with Windows Server environments, services control, and event log inspection.
  • Linux Administration: Hands-on experience with basic Linux shell commands, navigating file structures, and checking system logs.
  • WebLogic Administration: Foundational knowledge of Oracle WebLogic, including application server status checks and service restarts.
