Workday Extend Consultant

Job Title: Workday Extend Lead
Location: Delhi NCR [Preferred] or Remote
Job Description: We are seeking a talented individual who will be responsible for designing and developing business applications on the Workday platform. The ideal candidate must have experience in building custom application solutions using the Workday Extend framework. This position requires strong technical skills as well as excellent communication abilities to collaborate effectively with stakeholders across different departments.
Primary Skills/Requirement (Workday Extend):
- Design and develop custom application solutions using the Workday Extend framework.
- Collaborate closely with business users to gather requirements and understand their needs.
- Conduct thorough analysis of existing systems and processes to identify areas where improvements can be made through application development.
- Implement best practices for coding standards, unit testing, code reviews, and documentation.
- Provide support for production issues related to application functionality or performance.
- Participate in Agile team activities such as sprint planning, standups, and retrospectives.
- Stay up-to-date with new features and enhancements within the Workday product suite.
Qualifications:
- Knowledge of Workday Extend(PMD Script, App Component, Model, Orchestration, WQL, ...)
- Experience with IntelliJ + Workday Extend plugin
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience required. Master's preferred but not mandatory.
- Minimum of 2 years experience working with Workday Extend, including at least one year of hands-on experience developing custom application solutions using the Workday Extend framework.
- Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC), Agile methodologies, and object-oriented programming concepts.
- Experience integrating third party APIs into Workday Extend solutions.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to articulate complex technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively under pressure deadlines.
- Experience with version control tools such as Gitlab.
- Basic knowledge of Workday HR system(BP, Security Domain), API tool(Postman, SoapUI, ...) is plus.
