Job Description
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain WordPress websites and web applications.
- Develop and maintain custom, responsive WordPress themes and convert HTML/CSS designs into functional WordPress templates.
- Build custom post types, taxonomies, and custom fields using Advanced Custom Fields (ACF).
- Develop, customize, and extend WordPress plugins.
- Configure and customize WooCommerce websites, including product setup, checkout flow, payment gateway integrations (Razorpay, Stripe, etc.), and layout customization.
- Perform website deployments and provide support for hosting and basic server management tasks.
- Optimize website performance, database efficiency, caching, and overall site security.
- Troubleshoot and fix layout issues, UI inconsistencies, and cross-browser/mobile responsiveness problems.
- Collaborate with designers, QA engineers, and project managers to deliver high-quality solutions.
Key Requirements
- Experience: 2-5 years of professional WordPress development experience (portfolio required).
- Strong proficiency in PHP, MySQL, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and jQuery.
- Good understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) concepts.
- Strong knowledge of WordPress core, hooks, actions, filters, template hierarchy, and custom theme/plugin development.
- Hands-on experience with ACF, WooCommerce, security plugins, caching plugins, and Git/version control.
- Familiarity with WordPress REST API, AJAX, and third-party API integrations.
- Understanding of SEO best practices, website performance optimization, and security hardening.
- Experience with Elementor/Gutenberg is an added advantage.
- Good problem-solving skills and attention to details.
