Job Description
We are looking for a Network Engineer with 4 to 6 years of experience in managing enterprise network infrastructure. The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on expertise in Cisco device configuration, a solid understanding of IP networking fundamentals, and practical experience with FortiGate firewalls and wireless network configurations. The role involves ensuring network availability, performance, and security across the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Configure, implement, and maintain Cisco routers, switches, and related network devices
- Manage and troubleshoot LAN/WAN environments to ensure high availability and performance
- Perform network monitoring, analysis, and proactive issue resolution
- Handle basic firewall configuration, rule management, and access control policies
- Support wireless network configuration, deployment, and troubleshooting
- Diagnose and resolve network issues related to routing, switching, and connectivity
- Maintain network documentation, diagrams, and standard operating procedures
Required Skills:
- Strong hands-on experience with Cisco configurations (routing & switching)
- Solid understanding of IP networking concepts (TCP/IP, subnetting, VLANs, DNS, DHCP)
- Working knowledge of routing protocols
- Basic firewall knowledge (policy creation, NAT, VPN concepts)
- Experience with wireless networking (AP configuration, SSID setup, security protocols)
- Familiarity with network monitoring and troubleshooting tools
- Good understanding of network security best practices
Preferred Qualifications:
- Relevant certifications such as CCNP or equivalent (Cisco certification is optional)
Soft Skills:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Good communication and documentation skills
- Ability to work in rotational shifts (24/7 support environment)
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies
