Job Summary

Experience supporting customers in enterprise cloud solutions including technical support escalation management consulting and issue resolution

Experience in compute infrastructure supporting developing and maintaining cloud solutions in virtualized environments

Configuration managing and troubleshooting experience with the following technologies: vSphere vSAN NSX-T HCX

Responsibilities

Lead the Google VMWare Team (24*7 engagement model)

Understand customer impact handle escalations through effective diagnosis trouble-shooting and resolution on VMware workloads on Google Cloud Platform products

Collect and analyze technical troubleshooting evidence like packet traces (for example the tcpdump tracing) heap dumps and thread dumps operating system statistics for network memory processing io systems to diagnose and resolve VMware deployments on GCP

Act as subject matter expert for internal stakeholders in engineering sales and customer experience and with external partner and customer organizations to resolve technical deployment obstacles and improve VMware on GCP and other products

Interact with our Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) teams to drive high quality production and respond to outages to minimize impact on customers

Understand customer issues and advocate for their needs with cross-functional teams

Contribute to Supportability Engineering with multiple product and engineering teams to improve product quality and reduce contact rate

VMware Certified Professional or similar

GCP ACE certification would be a plus

Experience running VMware solutions environment including familiarity with VMware service operations like upgrading implementing migrating or supporting VMware environments using SREs or similar production best practices

Experience with any of the following IaaS solutions virtual machines and networks on-premises/hybrid cloud computing cloud identity and security models cloud monitoring and logging local and cloud storage

Experience with VMware platform and ecosystem tools

Administrator level knowledge and other core VMware production components
