Vmc Machine Operator

Role & responsibilities

• Operate and monitor VMC machines to produce parts according to engineering drawings.
• Load and unload raw materials and finished components safely.
• Set up tools, fixtures, and workpieces for machining operations.
• Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and job specifications.
• Measure finished parts using precision instruments such as vernier calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and bore gauges.
• Perform machine offsets and basic program edits when required.
• Inspect components to ensure they meet quality standards and tolerances.
• Replace worn cutting tools and maintain proper tool inventory.
• Perform routine machine cleaning and preventive maintenance.
• Follow production schedules and achieve daily production targets.
• Maintain records of production, inspection, and machine performance.
• Follow workplace safety procedures and 5S standards.
• Report machine faults or quality issues to supervisors promptly.
