UX Lead

Job Summary

As a UX Lead at Locobuzz, you will define and execute the user experience strategy, leading a team of UX/UI designers. This role requires hands-on design expertise in user-centered design, creating intuitive, accessible, and visually engaging experiences. You will utilize tools like Figma, Sketch, and Adobe XD, and lead initiatives in usability testing, user research, and A/B testing. A strong portfolio showcasing design for complex digital platforms (preferably SaaS) is essential. Candidates should have 5–8 years of experience in UX/UI design, with at least 2+ years in a leadership role, and excellent communication skills.

About the Role

The UX Lead will be responsible for defining and executing the user experience strategy for Locobuzz's products. This role requires hands-on design expertise while leading and mentoring a team of UX/UI designers. The ideal candidate is experienced in user-centered design and can create intuitive, accessible, and visually engaging experiences that align with business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership Strategy

• Define UX vision and lead the design team
• Mentor and guide UX/UI designers to ensure consistent quality
• Develop UX best practices and establish design processes

Design Execution

• Create wireframes, prototypes, and design systems to maintain a cohesive user experience
• Conduct usability testing and iterate designs based on feedback

User Research & Insights

• Lead user research initiatives, analyze data, and gather actionable insights
• Utilize A/B testing to validate and optimize designs

Collaboration & Communication

• Work closely with product managers, developers, and stakeholders to ensure design alignment
• Present and communicate design concepts to gain stakeholder buy-in

Accessibility & Quality Assurance

• Ensure all designs meet accessibility standards
• Conduct quality checks during development to maintain design integrity

Qualifications

• 5–8 years of experience in UX/UI design, with 2+ years in a leadership role
• Strong portfolio showcasing user-centered design for complex digital platforms, preferably SaaS
• Proficiency in design and prototyping tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD
• Experience conducting user research, usability testing, and data-driven design decisions
• Excellent communication skills for presenting design concepts to stakeholders

Good to Have

• Familiarity with front-end development (HTML, CSS, JavaScript)
• Experience with accessibility standards and inclusive design practices
