Node.js Developer (7-12 Years Experience)

About the Role

Were seeking a Node.js Developer to join a highly competent, fast-paced engineering team. In this role, youll design and build scalable backend systems with a strong focus on API architecture and modern deployment practices. Youll collaborate closely with experienced engineers while also taking ownership of key features and contributing to technical decisions.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable server-side applications using Node.js
• Build robust, secure, and well-documented RESTful APIs and microservices
• Define and maintain API contracts, versioning, and best practices
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions
• Deploy and manage applications in cloud environments (AWS/Azure)
• Build and maintain containerized applications using Docker (Kubernetes is a plus)
• Optimize applications for performance, scalability, and reliability
• Implement authentication, authorization, and data protection mechanisms
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to improving engineering standards
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues across development and production environments

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 7-12 years of professional experience with Node.js
• Strong proficiency in JavaScript (ES6+)
• Strong API development experience (RESTful design, versioning, and security best practices)
• Solid understanding of asynchronous programming and event-driven architecture
• Hands-on experience with API documentation tools (OpenAPI/Swagger)
• Experience working with cloud platforms such as AWS and/or Azure
• Experience with containerization technologies (Docker; Kubernetes is a plus)
• Experience with databases such as MongoDB, PostgreSQL, MySQL, or other NoSQL systems
• Proficiency with Git and modern development workflows

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Python for backend services, scripting, or data processing
• Strong experience with MongoDB or other NoSQL databases
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
• Exposure to microservices and distributed systems
• Knowledge of monitoring and logging tools
