SAP GLM Consultant Job Description

A SAP GLM Consultant is responsible for implementing, configuring, and supporting SAPs Global Label Management module. This role ensures that organizations can design, manage, and print product labels in compliance with regulatory and business requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end implementation of SAP GLM solutions.
• Configure and customize GLM to meet business needs (label templates, printing processes, compliance rules).
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (supply chain, manufacturing, IT, compliance).
• Manage project delivery lifecycle including requirement gathering, design, testing, deployment, and support.
• Ensure seamless operations of GLM systems with proactive monitoring and troubleshooting.
• Provide training and documentation for end-users and stakeholders.
• Stay updated on regulatory requirements (e.g., chemical, pharmaceutical, food industries) impacting label management.

Required Skills & Experience

• Strong knowledge of SAP EHS (Environment, Health & Safety) and SAP GLM module.

• Experience with label design tools (Adobe, SmartForms, WWI).

• Familiarity with regulatory compliance standards (REACH, GHS, FDA, ISO).
• Hands-on experience in SAP implementation projects (minimum 6+ years relevant experience).
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
• Ability to work in contract, freelance, or full-time roles depending on project needs.

Typical Qualifications

• Bachelors or Master’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• SAP certification in EHS/GLM is often preferred.

Prior consulting or industry-specific experience (pharma, chemicals, FMCG) is a plus
