Key Responsibilities
- Create and manage interactive Power BI reports and dashboards that effectively communicate data insights and trends.
- Design and implement robust data models that ensure data integrity and efficiency in reporting.
- Data Integration: Integrate data from various sources, including SQL databases, Excel spreadsheets, and other third party applications.
- Optimize Power BI reports and dashboards for performance and efficiency.
- Work closely with business analysts, data scientists, and other stakeholders to understand their reporting needs and translate them into technical solutions.
- Identify and resolve issues with Power BI reports and data sources, ensuring data accuracy and consistency.
- Establish and promote best practices for Power BI development, data governance, and visualization standards.
- Provide guidance and support to junior developers and team members on Power BI best practices and techniques.
- Validating data pipeline results.
- Excellent project management skills, including the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Experience with advanced Power BI features such as custom visuals, Power BI Service, Power BI Embedded, Power Query, DAX, M Language.
- Proven experience on programming languages such as Python, R for data analysis and visualization, SQL, MySQL, MongoDB.
- Advanced Excel.
Qualifications and Experience
• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, or a related field. Advanced degrees or certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Data Analyst Associate) are a plus.
• 3-6 years of experience working with Power BI and other data visualization tools.
• Strong proficiency in Power BI, DAX (Data Analysis Expressions), Power Query, and SQL.
• Extensive experience with data modeling, including designing star and snowflake schemas.
• Experience integrating data from various sources, such as relational databases, APIs, and flat files.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to convey complex technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, or a related field. Advanced degrees or certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Data Analyst Associate) are a plus.
