UI/UX Designer Contract

A strong UI/UX portfolio is required to be considered for this role.

Please include a portfolio, Figma link, or links to live websites/web applications demonstrating your work. We are particularly interested in projects where you personally owned or substantially contributed to the UI/UX design.

Role & Responsibilities

Simple Care is looking for a talented UI/UX Designer to support the ongoing design and improvement of our website and web-based healthcare products. This is a remote, part-time contract position with work assigned on an as-needed basis. It is not a fixed-hours or full-time role. We are looking for someone who can take a brief, understand the objective, and independently turn it into polished, production-ready designs.

You will:

• Design high-quality, modern website and web-app interfaces in Figma
• Turn requirements and rough concepts into wireframes, user flows, and polished UI
• Design responsive experiences for desktop, tablet, and mobile
• Create and maintain reusable Figma components and consistent design patterns
• Apply strong visual judgment across typography, spacing, hierarchy, layout, and interaction states
• Improve existing pages and workflows rather than simply redesigning everything from scratch
• Create prototypes when needed to communicate interactions and user flows
• Work with developers to ensure designs can be implemented accurately
• Incorporate feedback quickly and iterate without requiring extensive direction

Preferred Candidate Profile

• 2 to 5 years of relevant UI/UX or web design experience
• Excellent command of Figma
• Strong portfolio demonstrating polished website and web-app UI/UX work
• Excellent visual design skills especially typography, spacing, hierarchy, and responsive layouts
• Experience with Figma components, Auto Layout, variants, and reusable design systems
• Strong understanding of responsive web design and interaction design
• Able to work independently from a brief and make sensible design decisions
• Comfortable receiving direct feedback and iterating quickly
• Reliable communicator who can work effectively in a remote environment

Contract Structure

This is a remote, as-needed contract engagement. Workload will vary depending on current projects, and there is no guaranteed minimum number of hours. Compensation will be agreed based on experience, project scope, and the nature of the work.Role & responsibilities
