About the Role

Were looking for a UI Designer who cares deeply about craft.

At Even, design isnt a service function. Designers work closely with product, engineering, operations, and clinical teams to shape experiences that impact how people access and experience healthcare.

As a UI Designer, youll be responsible for elevating the visual quality of our products across web and mobile. Youll bring clarity to complex workflows, obsess over details, and help establish a consistently high bar for design across the company.

This role is ideal for someone who loves product design but naturally gravitates towards visual design, interaction design, systems thinking, and craftsmanship.

What Youll Do:

Raise the Craft Bar: Create thoughtful, polished, and visually exceptional user interfaces that improve trust, usability, and clarity across our products.
Design End-to-End Experiences: Work closely with product designers, product managers, and engineers to translate requirements, flows, and concepts into intuitive and delightful user experiences.
Build and Scale Design Systems: Contribute to and evolve Evens design system, ensuring consistency across products while creating reusable and scalable patterns.
Sweat the Details: Obsess over typography, spacing, hierarchy, states, transitions, accessibility, and interaction details that make products feel refined and intuitive.
Partner with Engineering: Collaborate closely with engineers to ensure design quality is maintained from concept through implementation.
Influence Design Quality: Actively participate in critiques and reviews, helping raise the quality of design work across the broader team.
Explore New Ways of Designing: Leverage AI tools and emerging workflows to accelerate exploration, improve efficiency, and push the boundaries of how great products are designed.

What Youll Need:

Experience: 4 6 years of experience designing digital products across web and mobile platforms.
Exceptional Visual Design Skills: A portfolio that demonstrates strong visual craft, attention to detail, and a high-quality standard across a variety of product experiences.
Strong Interaction Design: Ability to design interactions that feel intuitive, efficient, and delightful, especially within complex workflows.
Systems Thinking: Experience building and working with design systems, reusable components, and scalable design patterns.
Product Understanding: Ability to understand business goals, user needs, and technical constraints, and use that context to make thoughtful design decisions.
AI Curiosity: Comfortable experimenting with AI tools as part of the design process, whether for ideation, exploration, content generation, prototyping, or workflow acceleration.
Communication Collaboration: Strong communication skills with the ability to clearly explain design decisions and collaborate effectively across disciplines.

Good to Have:

Experience designing for healthcare, fintech, insurance, or other high-trust domains
Experience working in fast-paced startup environments
Experience with motion design, micro-interactions, or prototyping
Experience contributing to or owning parts of a design system
Familiarity with AI-native design workflows and tools
