Job Description
UEFI BIOS -Engineer
Location: Chennai
Job Responsibilities
- Design, development, customization, and porting of UEFI BIOS firmware for x86 architecture platforms using C language.
- Debugging and fixing UEFI BIOS issues reported by customers and internal teams.
- Understanding customer and internal workflows and incorporating them into design and development activities.
- Performing unit testing of implemented solutions.
- Creating, updating, and maintaining project-specific documentation.
- Providing technical risk assessments, schedule estimates, and status updates.
- Managing multiple complex tasks across projects and schedules.
- Collaborating with engineering teams and other stakeholders to resolve technical challenges.
- Defining, planning, and implementing software development, testing, and process improvement initiatives.
- 2 to 10 years of experience in Embedded Firmware Development, Bootloaders, Device Drivers, and Advanced C Programming.
- Strong understanding of x86 CPU Architecture, Microprocessors, and Microcontrollers.
- Experience with hardware interfaces such as I2C, UART, SPI, etc.
- Ability to understand hardware schematics, interface specifications, and customer requirements.
- Knowledge of Agile/Scrum-based product development methodologies.
