Manager Treasury Controls (Coordination & Checker)

About Role: To lead the Company's Treasury function by ensuring efficient cash flow management, secure and timely payment execution, and robust financial controls. The role will independently review payment proposals, invoices, reconciliations, and cash positions, identify and eliminate payment leakages, and strengthen the maker-checker process to ensure all payments are accurate, properly authorized, and compliant with Company policies.

Key Responsibilities

• Review and approve vendor payment proposals received from various departments.
• Verify invoices, supporting documents, approvals, purchase orders and payment terms before payment
• Identify duplicate, incorrect, excess or unauthorized payments and recommend corrective actions.
• Ensure adherence to the Company's approval matrix and payment policies.
• Execute vendor, employee, statutory and other payments through banking platforms.
• Monitor daily cash position and plan fund utilization.
• Perform bank reconciliations and monitor unreconciled transactions.
• Coordinate with Procurement, General Accounting and Compliance teams to resolve payment-related issues.
• Strengthen payment controls and implement measures to minimize financial leakages.
• Drive automation and process improvements in treasury and payment processes.
• Support statutory, internal and forensic audits relating to treasury and payments.

CA preferred/ strong finance/accounts background with treasury exposure

Key Skills

• Strong understanding of treasury operations and payment controls.
• Excellent knowledge of invoice verification and vendor payment processes.
• Ability to identify financial leakages and process weaknesses.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Experience with Tally Prime/ERP systems and banking portals.
• High integrity and attention to detail.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

• Zero payment releases without independent review
• Zero unauthorized or duplicate payments
• Improvement in treasury controls and payment processes.
• Control exceptions identified and resolved
