Job Description
Plan and manage daily transportation schedules for inbound and outbound goods.
Oversee company vehicles, drivers, and third-party transporters.
Ensure timely dispatch and delivery of materials.
Monitor fuel usage, vehicle running, mileage, and maintenance schedules.
Maintain transport records: logbooks, trip sheets, challans, and delivery documents.
Handle transportation documentation, e-way bills, invoices, and compliance.
Negotiate and coordinate with transport vendors for rates and contracts.
Monitor vehicle safety, GPS tracking, and adherence to road safety rules.
Resolve transportation issues, delays, or breakdowns quickly.
Control transportation costs and prepare monthly reports.
Ensure availability of drivers and maintain their duty rosters.
Handle accident reporting, insurance claims, and legal compliance.
