Qualification: Bachelor s degree in Agriculture, Business, or related field.
Experience: 3 10 years of experience in fertilizer trading or agri input sales.
Role Overview: We are seeking a dynamic and commercially driven Fertilizer Trader to manage and expand trading operations across international markets. The role involves developing fertilizer sales, managing customer and supplier relationships, monitoring market trends, and ensuring smooth execution of trade transactions across assigned territories.
The ideal candidate should possess strong expertise in fertilizer trading, pricing negotiations, market intelligence, and international trade operations within the agriculture or agri-input sector.
Key Responsibilities: Trading & Business Development: - Develop and grow sales of fertilizer products including Urea, DAP, NPK, MOP, SOP, and specialty fertilizers across assigned markets.
- Identify new business opportunities and expand relationships with distributors, wholesalers, and key channel partners.
- Drive revenue growth through strategic trading activities and market expansion initiatives.
Client & Supplier Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with customers, suppliers, and trading partners.
- Negotiate commercial terms including pricing, contracts, payment structures, and supply agreements.
- Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and timely issue resolution.
- Monitor global fertilizer pricing trends, competitor activity, and regional market dynamics.
- Analyze demand-supply movements and provide market insights to support trading decisions.
- Recommend pricing and procurement strategies to maximize profitability and market competitiveness.
- Coordinate with suppliers, logistics providers, shipping agents, and finance teams for smooth execution of orders and shipments.
- Ensure accurate documentation and compliance with international trade regulations and company policies.
- Track shipment timelines, inventory movement, and payment follow-ups.
- Maintain accurate customer, transaction, and sales records.
- Prepare regular sales forecasts, market reports, and trading performance updates.
- Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements, risk management practices, and internal controls.
- Strong understanding of fertilizer products, international trade practices, and agricultural markets.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship management skills.
- Strong analytical and market research capabilities.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, target-driven trading environment.
- Experience working across international markets will be an added advantage.
