Overview
- A Testing Engineer in panel services is responsible for the inspection, testing, validation, and commissioning of electrical panels to ensure they meet performance, safety, and regulatory standards before, during, and after installation
Roles & responsibilities
- Testing Procedures: Conducting electrical tests such as Continuity Testing, High Voltage (HV) Testing, Insulation Resistance (IR) Testing, interlocking testing, control circuit verification, relay setting and programming with Omicron Kit and Functional Testing to ensure compliance with standards.
- Quality Assurance: Verifying that materials, components, and enclosures meet quality specifications and industry standards.
- Troubleshooting: Identifying and resolving issues in the panels during the testing phase.
- Documentation: Maintaining detailed records of test results, procedures, and any corrective actions taken.
- Compliance: Ensuring adherence to safety regulations and standards specific to HT and LT panels.
- Collaboration: Working with design and production teams to address defects and improve panel performance.
- Support customer inspections, FATs (Factory acceptance tests), and third party witness tests.
- Stay updated with the latest testing tools, equipment and standards.
